The Palheiro House is part of an Enterprise of Tourism Units in Rural Area called "Casal do Vulcão", located in the parish of Capelo.

The name "Casal do Vulcão", comes from the position of the houses and the building, located in the place of Canto, near the Capelinhos volcano

The "Casa do Palheiro" was the place where the family kept the agricultural implements and food for the domestic animals and cattle. Now it houses a bedroom, a kitchenette and a bathroom, in a total area of 43.2 m2.
